You walked into the dining room, the smell was delightful. The butler was finishing setting up the table.

"Oh, hello, ___, I apologize for not being ready. Please give me just a moment." In a flash of an eye, the entire dining room was fit for a feast. Not a single placemat crooked, not a spot of dirt. "I wonder what's keeping the young master..pardon me, miss. I'll return promptly. "
Sebastian left the dining room in a rush,Mai's eyes fixed on his pocket watch.

You stood there. It was quite awkward to be alone...in a dining room, in a house you'd never been inside. Suddenly, a heavy hand was on your back.

"Hello there! I'm Finnian! You must be Ciel's new lady friend! I'm happy to meet you!" He grabbed your hand and began to shake it with great force; enough to make your hair fall out of place, and definitely knock your glasses off. "Oh! I'm sorry! I don't know my own strength!" He blushed. "Things like this happen a lot."

"FINNY! Don't tell me you're in the dining 'oom you idiot! Sebastian said to stay out!" The Australian accent was coming from behind the pantry door.

"Well! I'm sorry bard! I just wanted to meet her!" A red haired girl pulled Finnian back into the pantry and slammed the door. Just then, Ciel and Sebastian walked in.

"Thank you for being patient, m'lady. Please" he pulled a chair out. "Have a seat. " he smiled that courteous, inhuman smile.

"Thank you Sebastian. Now, please...fetch the tea, would you. Allow me to talk to ___." Ciel waved his hand at Sebastian, shooing him away.

"Yes, my lord." Sebastian bowed courteously and walked towards the kitchen.

"So I suppose you could call this fate, then? I could be honest with you. You seem much...much more of a better suit for me than Elizabeth, she was constantly going on about 'cute this' and 'cute that' it was rather aggravating, as you can imagine. I have a very busy schedule, and her constant...annoyance was quite...enough." He was obviously irritated, but also hurt, somewhere in him, hurt.

"It'll be ok..." He quickly looked to you.

"What will be okay?" He asked.

"Even if you don't want to admit it. I know you miss her. Knowing someone that long, enemy or not, sorrow is unavoidable. Regardless, you will feel depression remorse, even a minute bit. Death can not go unfelt..." You shifted your feet. Was it the right idea to say that?

"I-I see..." Ciel stared into his empty tea cup.

"Master?" Sebastian poured your teas. "Are you okay? You don't act like this often..."

"Shut up Sebastian! Pour the tea and get out!" Ciel ordered.

"As you wish, my lord." Sebastian was clearly amused, leaving directly after the tea was served.

"I apologize, ___. You're right, I suppose, but, I've hardened myself...apparently too much...thank you for reminding me of my feelings. I thought I'd never feel them again. " he took a bite of his food. "I believe we will get along nicely...my dear." The slightest upward movement of his lips were his acceptance. You had been accepted, the new miss Phantomhive.
